I'm glad we had no part in it. I went to bed at the half.
Love, Ima

I was laughing at the announcers (halftime and post-game). Kara Lawson and her 45 minutes would have fit right in. :))

That may have turned off a lot of people from college basketball. They may have done damage to future NCAA TV revenues. :Boo:

Were the commercials at least somewhat decent? #-o

Agreed. I've used the term "unwatchable" before but last night's performance re-defined the word for me. Even unc fans agree. I felt like I was watching high school ball last night. That really, really sucked. :ymsick:

I didn't even watch very much of it. We all know that "champion" and "best team" are usually not the same thing, but that was just a fucking joke.

That's what happens when you have an 8 seed play a 4 seed and they play like an 8 seed and a 4 seed. It was a horrible game played by mediocre teams. Big contrast to last season's Championship game. End of season, end of story. :(

UCONN shananigans (sp?)...

Check out this little gem of a story from Yahoo.com:

Houston football player Justin Johnson was excited to have the Final Four in his town, but he never thought he'd get a chance to see a game live.

That was until Monday morning when an email went out to Houston athletes and the Rice student body giving the first 300 email responders free tickets courtesy of the Connecticut athletic department.
"Well, we all were excited to have the Final Four in our town, but I didn't think we would get to be at the game," Johnson said. "This was awesome… [The crowd] was nuts early, but UConn ran away with it, so it died down."

UConn's fan section was nearly empty during Saturday's national semifinal against Kentucky. Even though UConn was allotted 800 tickets for its fans, few other than families were able to make the trip to Houston. On Monday, the Huskies didn't want the same lack of fanfare for what ended up being a 53-41 win over Butler for the Huskies' first national championship since 2004 and third since 1999.

While Johnson and several of his Houston teammates, including star quarterback Case Keenum, were at the game on Connecticut's dime, not all of them were rooting for the Huskies. Johnson said being from a nonautomatic qualifying football school made both Houston and Rice fans empathize with Butler's plight for a national championship.

"You didn't want to be cheering against the people in your section, but it would have been cool to see the underdog win, too," Johnson said. "I didn't want to be a jerk. Just wanted to see a good game, but Butler is doing what we want to do in football, so I guess I was rooting for them a little, too."

At least the women had a championship game.

Too bad we had Kara Lawson talking about it.

The women did have a good Final 4! UConn didnt make it to the final game. Good to see a new champ. I favored ND, but the Aggies pulled it out.

Mens Monday game............... it was like someone took a pin and popped all the helium balloons at a childs party. The first half, was low scoring, but at least not like the 2nd.

The 2nd half was so bad, I wanted to Buy Butler a basket.

Poor Matt Howard, and all his family were there in Houston, for his final games.

I saw this morning on Sportscenter where Gordan Hayward scored 22 or so points on the Lakers, and hit the free throw for the win, over LA. Butler sure could have used Gordan this past season. At least Gordan has been stepping up to being a starter now.

Uconn was horrible. Butler was even worse in the 2nd. WTH happened? I watched the game. It certainly didnt look like 2 college teams playing in a National Championship.

It would have been better, had the Dawgs won. Dang Huskie Guys. X(
