Cash for sacks? Sex for stud recruits? Big-money handshakes from strangers?

For more detailed transcripts, including Auburn's response, visit Sports by Brooks.
It's all a part of college football's pay-for-play system, according to several former Auburn players who are dishing the dirt on HBO's "Real Sports With Bryant Gumbel" (Wed., 10 p.m. ET).

Stanley McClover, Troy Reddick, Chaz Ramsey and Raven Gray tell Andrea Kremer of being paid by both boosters and coaches, according to reports of the transcripts (for detailed transcripts, click here).

Don't leave out The Ohio State University in this investigation.

Some aspects of this story are reminiscent of SMU's situation some years ago.

Not gonna make a bit of difference. Grambling will lose 20 scholarships and get a 3-5 year bowl ban. :-s

Why are these players coming forward now? Are they mad because Cam Newton got a bigger payoff?

This overcast weather must be inhibiting my ability to think and retrieve information. What's Grambling State University got to do with the claims involving Auburn and The Ohio State University? :-\

Because NCAA won't punish a big name school very severely - instead they will take it out on the next little school - hence the Grambling reference.

At least, that is my interpretation.

Ramsey was one of four players who told HBO for an episode last month of "Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel" that they received cash payments -- in book bags, envelopes and even handshakes. Ramsey played at Auburn most recently, in the 2007 season.

Ramsey had been reluctant to meet with the NCAA because Auburn wanted to be represented at the interview, but he told the newspaper that the school's attorneys won't be present and the information he provides won't be disclosed.

There's gonna be lots of sweating going on, on both sides of that door.
