Wanted to get a thread going to see if anyone is interested in joining us for dinner/lunch on Friday/Sunday after the games? I'd love to see everyone and anyone and know a few places where we can get together post-game and celebrate.

Post here or PM for details. If you can't get together with the group, but you're looking for info on Charlotte, places to stay, places to eat, just send me an e-mail and I'll be happy to help.

You already know we are in. Didn't think about a lunch get together. We could leave 30-60 minutes earlier and meet you and Sheree at 11 AM or earlier for a biscuit or a sammich or a pizza and then go to the 1st game. There will be 3 of us. Paging Cheermom (and Cheerdad, too, but he doesn't post here) .

I was thinking lunch on Sunday? I can't make it that early on Friday.

And my job is getting in the way of lunch on Friday. I'll be leaving Raleigh around 11:30ish and come screaming into Charlotte on 2 wheels just in time for the Duke game on Friday. Jer - remind Aunt Cindy to have my popcorn ready for me. I'm very excited about the game!!!

What time are the Charlotte games on Sunday? IF we win on Friday, does Duke play the first or second game on Sunday?

I think the games are slotted for noon and 2:30, but our gametime won't be determined until the TV people know the matchups.

Since we play in the afternoon bracket on Friday (as opposed to the evening bracket where carolina plays), I would think we would be slotted for the early game giving carolina the longer rest time from its game on Friday, just like they do in the ACC tourney. That's generally the way they do those things, and its only fair, even if it involves carolina...

Sucks for me, too. I will be at Mom's (no cable, no internet) in the morning, then at church (if I skip church to see the game, we will lose), then traveling to Williamsburg for 2 hours worth of Ethics at my work conference, which will end at 5:10.

Radio 620 AM, 102.7 FM for as long as reception lasts. Also if you have SiriusXM, channels 190, 191 and 192 broadcast ACC games all season long for football and basketball using the home team broadcast - a good reason to have XM radio all by itself!

I think SiriusXM is contracted to use NCAA radio network instead of team broadcasting. If you get a game he's working, John Thompson is good to listen to.

Alaa Abdelnaby is part of the Westwood One (official NCAA) radio network now too. I caught a bit of him last night doing the Alabama St.-UTSA, and he was pretty good. Was just nice to hear that name again. My brother and I loved him back in the day, I think in large part because he had a funny name.
