Congratulations: dukediv2011/12/13
Dukediv2011/12/13 had his ordination service yesterday and is now a Baptist minister. It was a very emotional and special service and I was glad we had the privilege and honor to attend.

Re: Congratulations: dukediv2011/12/13
One of the coolest thing about the service was the following:
His mother invites Claire up to the pulpit and gives her 3 items and bits of advice.
First was a pom-pom for obvious reasons. But, the real reason was so she could/would be a cheerleader for dukediv when he felt depressed/offended by members of his church.
The second was a whistle for obvious reasons, too. But, it was also for times when dukediv needed to stop for a time-out, whatever the reason. It was also for the truth. And yes, dammit, I am going to borrow that whistle and use it in Section 21 and/or at the G'boro Coliseum this weekend if the stripes keep making phantom calls or ignoring obvious crap like a slap to the face of any of our players .
Finally, she quoted K from about the 13 second mark of the 2010 NC game. Anyone remember what he said?
(Just be you. You is good enough.)
