There's been a recent spate of celebrities coming forth stating how "embarrassed" they are that they played private concerts for his retinue, and claiming that they donated all the money.

First, this bastard has been the top dog there for ages. Since this is the case, and he has the power, why has he not yet promoted himself to general? Why is he still a frickin' colonel?

Second, he was once a not unattractive feller. Age has not been kind. When, exactly, for instance, did he begin to morph into Fred Sanford?
