By the way...I love rumors. And gossip. They are fun to talk about, add life to any conversation, and in the end don't hurt anyone (at least not the rumors we talk about here.) I don't understand that policy, but it's their choice. Sticks in the mud.

Yeah, well, I posted what I was told last night before the game, that Kyrie's dad has shut him down for the rest of the season. He's done at Duke. This comes from what I consider a reputable source. Reputable enough to post it at 1:30 a.m. and discuss it until 10 a.m. this morning in the thread. Very disappointing. All those posts were deleted about 11 when I was put on holiday. It's just for a couple of days. I'll probably go back. Maybe. We'll see. And I see I am "missing" from the member list. Interesting.

Both. His dad feels that he's looking at a very significant shoe contract even if the NBA has a lockout, so the money will start flowing regardless. I don't know if that is true or not. I don't know if any of this is true. Others have disputed the whole premise, some have supported it. Fuck it. I give up. I'm just gonna root for what we've got, just like I've been doing all season. But I still feel cheated that we lost out on watching Kyrie play this season for Duke.

Who is going to by sneakers with his logo on them when he really isn't that well known? He had a great high school career, and a great 6-week college career. He has enormous talent and potential at the college level and at the NBA level. If these rumors are true, I have to question his dad's motivation. Money ain't everything and only provides temporary happiness.
