This is cool:

Video of Discovery launch, filmed from airplane, goes viral - thestar.com

Gotta love the crew member's comments:
"Those of you on the right side of the plane, you can see the space shuttle,” a crew member’s voice can be heard saying on the video. “If you’re on the left side of the plane, you can see people on the right side of the plane looking at the space shuttle."

That's really, really cool. The one time I saw the shuttle take off is a memory that will stick with me for a very long time. I was 5 or 6 miles away, and even at that distance, it was an incredibly powerful sight, and a surprisingly moving experience.

I lived in Central Florida during quite a few launches, attending some - one at night that was spectacular - and they were always incredible events to see.

I've never seen a live space shuttle launch but I did build a model of one once and blew it up with firecrackers and gasoline (I was young...er).

I've also been to Berlin.
