I'm trying to be positive about it. Really, I am.

I got engaged to ExLax 24 years ago today. We all know how that ended, except that we had kids together, so it never really ends.

Unfortunately, we'll have no celebrating in the Lavabe household. I have the flu.

The times I didn't have anyone to celebrate Valentine's with, I did something special for myself, and it didn't include batteries.

I developed a tradition a while back of taking a nice long hot bubble bath, then climb into bed and watch Casablanca. I think I've seen the beginning of Casablanca a hundred times, but I've only seen the end about fifty times.

Oh, and I'd usually buy myself some chocolate.

well our household is buying chocolate today because it's half price!
