Yup, I've been watching. I'm really looking forward to both players coming to Duke. :duke:

They just said there is talk that MP3 might red shirt next year? So much for all 3 playing at the same time if he does.

They just said it again. The rationale is that he's 7 feet tall and 200 pounds and needs to bulk up. :9f:

Not that it would be a bad thing for him or the team, but it would be surprising.

Do red shirts practice with the team?

Of course. Just like Seth Curry did last year. Or "red shirt" freshman football players do. They run the "scout squad". Basically they mature, learn the system and get a year bigger and stronger. All is good for the player who will stay for five years and not jump to the league early.

Red shirts don't travel with the team, though. They don't get National Championship rings, either. (Just ask Seth Curry.)

Semantic quibble: Kids sitting out transfer years are allowed to travel with the team. If you watch last year's tourney videos, trophy ceremony, etc., you'll see Seth. You're right that he wasn't allowed a championship ring, but he did sit on the bench as part of the team all season.

I was under the impression that Seth had to pay his own freight to Indianapolis, but I could be wrong about that.

I was looking forward to seeing the 3 Plums play together. I think they were also. :( I did notice, watching him play, he does need to beef up. I made the commit to Bud that I hoped he would put on weight & muscles this summer. I heard one of the game announcers say MP3's GPA has been 4.0 his entire high school career. :happy-bouncyblue: :duke:

Did anybody catch any of Marshall & Quinn's showdown on Friday? I'd be interested to hear any impressions.
I did hear the other day that all three of our incoming kids (Marshall, Quinn, and Austin) were named McDonald's All-Americans. Congrats to three more in the long line. (-|

Cook did well. Very well.
The potential is definitely there for both. Good recruits.
