Happy Birthday!

You don't walk the plank in NJ. You just disappear. Forever.

Happy Birthday, Ohioguy! May all your birthday wishes come true!

Hope ya had a happy-merry. I might add how unfortunate that my hoodlum, hole fan brother-in-law shares the same date. He came by and seriously asked me if I could cook him some fish sticks on the grill.

Thank you everyone--I am now "officially" old. The Medicare card is in the wallet. My lovely wife and I chose an Italian place for dinner--penne pasta and shrimp. She baked me a strawberry pie for my "cake". I believe I will enjoy my favorite porter, the Ed. Fitz., with the pie--don't know how they will go together, but they are two of my favorite things.
Thanks again.

Congratulations and Happy Birthday...any strawberry pie left over? I would "kill" for a piece of strawberry pie.

The day after my birthday and it is raining--thus the river is WAY too high and muddy to seek fish.

We have had some luck with bass in the rivers during the last couple of weeks, but the walleye run is done and Lake Erie fishing is just starting for us (some have been out with mixed success). I can't wait to perch fish in the lake--the best eating fish ever--breaded and deep fried--yumm.

Oh sorry to hear that, but low riding will soon be forthcoming! Watched a Canadian sport fishing trip this past Sunday and amongst other species of fish, Walleye's were on the menu, ugly fish, but OMG, ... I could only imagine catching and then frying up on skillet in the wilderness! They caught about a 40lb fish (can't remember species ... maybe lake trout) but SHE was a beauty and about 45-50 inches long... can you imagine! Woo hooo! Best of luck to you on the Lake and would love to be there.... we will just have to wait until next year's excursion down in FL!

I hope to get out on the boat soon...... will provide some reports.....
