Oh, it's getting funky over at the dump on the hump! The stench is getting palpable! The player are abandoning ship in mid semester! They are giving up their scholarships and running away as their little feet can carry them back to California, or wherever it is they find peace and solitude to avoid the hell that obviously envelops chapel hell! Parents of former players are posting things on social web sites about the team's coach that would make sailors blush. And these things are all true! I'm not making them up! No embellishment necessary! It's always great to be a Blue Devil! But it's especially great to be a Blue Devil fan in 2011!

Went to dinner last night in Chapel Hill. The fear was palpable. Our game was on the tube and a couple of the whine and cheese crowd walked by it, checked the score and said "Oh God that's awful."

The gates must be opening and drawing in all the warmth and sending moisture to the west. The forecast for snow Tuesday night has increased from an inch to 5 to 7 inches. A sure sign that heat is being drawn to Chapel Hill.

Here at the Rock, all light has been sucked out of the sky. No moon is visible. So cold, as to make one think of the absence of God himself.
