It was January 27th, 2001. Tell us your story about the game.

My parents went to that game. They had to leave with about a minute left 'cause my mom had health problems (her asthma often bothered her in gyms full of people). As Dad pushed her wheelchair past the bronze Testudo out front, she reached out and grabbed his chin, looked him straight in the eye, and said, "You're cute, but you're going to lose." She always had weird affects on things. I've always credited her mojo with that win.

It was smack in the middle of rush, and I was a freshman. I was in a room on the second floor of SAE section, which at the time was in Craven Quad. I was getting drunk with a guy who was a senior SAE at the time, who also went to my high school.
We proceeded to get drunker before adjourning to the quad, where we got drunker still and burned things.

I was taping the game..but I turned off the TV..I couldn't stand to watch us lose. I'm so happy I taped it, I watched it over and over.

I had the tape machine running, too, and had court the next morning, so I went to bed mad, only to be awakened by Oedipus, who was working, to say, "Congratulations!" I think my response was, "WTF are you talking about?" and he said, "Get up and turn on ESPN."

I was propping my eyes open with toothpicks in court the next morning. It was sooooo worth it.
