A request for vibes

As you may recall, there was a discussion in LTE a while back about my younger sister. She's having a very difficult pregnancy to say the least. She was admitted the hospital today and will be there a few days for observation. Once she goes home, she's on bed rest for the remainder of her pregnancy. We're hoping that she makes it until mid-February for the C-section (baby due date is early March). She and the baby are both fine, and I would like for you to send lots and lots of vibes that everything stays that way.

I talked to my sister last night. She's still in the hospital, and my new niece is still kicking up a storm. Her big complaint is the hospital food. She's on a special diet due to gestational diabetes, and the food is nasty. My bro-in-law and various friends have been bringing food from outside so she can eat something other than the bread that comes with the meal. The docs are giving her steroid shots to help the baby's lungs develop in case she has to be delivered sooner than they'd like. She's at 31 weeks now, I believe.

My other niece, who is 9, is very upset that her mom is in the hospital. Poor thing is stressed about the cost, bless her heart, and has been crying a lot. I called and talked to her last night and had a nice chat. I'll be doing that a lot more.

My sister was able to come home from the hospital today! She's on bed rest, but it's so much better to be on bed rest at home. The food is definitely better.
