How about Matt Wallerstedt, the Defensive Coordinator for Air Force...

Does anyone else have suggestions?

Too bad we can't bring Ted back. ;)
I'm not familiar with the names that are out there, but there a couple things that I would request from the new guy. First off is I want a person that can teach our cornerbacks how to play defense. We've been killed so often, for so long. Secondly, I want a guy that knows how to stop the option. We get lucky next year and don't face it except against GT, but we'll be back to playing the service acadamies soon enough, and you never know who your opponent is in a bowl game. We've been better each year at defending against it, I don't want us to lose the knowledge we've gained there.

I wonder if Randy Shannon would be interested in the position. He would be a great for recruiting and his background as a Defensive Coordinator would be perfect. Plus, he already knows the conference teams. I think he'd be a great fit!

That is a great thought. Wonder what Cut is thinking...

Congrats to Ted Roof, on providing a great defense for Auburn. He is very deserving. Although, I was not routing for Auburn, but I was pulling for Oregon, (wanted a team outside of the SEC). Cut will make a good hire!! Go Duke!!
