What did you give for Christmas this year?
OR

Gave my dad a signed 2010 basketball team poster.
Gave my niece an ATM machine (modern day piggy bank) that I got for $10. She hasn't put it down since opening it last night.

Gave Donna, Stevo, Max and Adam a room in NYC. Max also got a ticket to the Duke-Butler game. Gave Dana and will be giving Jake and Dawn a Belgiam waffle maker. Money given to all the grand children.

I guess the person most happy with his gift was Native, who got an ipad. His brother preferred the equivalent in cash!

On the spur of the moment, I, at the very last minute, picked up a pizzelle maker for my mother-in-law. If you aren't familiar with them, they're little thin waffle-like wafer cookies popular among the Italian-Americans here in Jersey (and maybe elsewhere too). I didn't know if she had one (the maker) that was 20 years old in the basement, but I do know she likes pizzelles and will occasionally pick them up to serve at events.

Well she was absolutely thrilled. She has always wanted her own maker but hasn't ever gotten one. She is very much looking forward to making some tomorrow with her granddaughter.
I feel really good about that gift. My MIL and I are so different I find it very hard to shop for her and I'm so thrilled I thought of something that she loves and can share with Katie.

My nieces were pretty stoked to get their Target gift cards tonight. Of course, they live at the OBX where there is no Target, so they're excited to make a trip to Target tomorrow with Aunt Cathy. We'll stock up on batteries, memory cards and Zhu Zhu pets that didn't arrive in their stockings today.
