Just heard on the new that Don Meredith has died. He was 72. Turn out the lights, the party's over...

I was sorry to hear this. I didn't remember him as a player, but I watched a lot of Monday Night Football growing up, and I thought he was funny. I remember the Lipton tea ads, too.
RIP.

Yet another voice from the soundtrack of my youth silenced...RIP Dandy Dan...raising a glass of Lipton Tea in your honor!

Dandy Don helped make MNF what it is today. Did they do anything last night to honor him?

They did. I don't remember him, but he seemed like lovable guy.
RIP Mr. Meredith.

RIP Mr. Meredith.
That's probably the best description of him.
The contrast between Meredith and Cosell really made MNF the franchise that it still is.
