What's your dream car?

If you could own any car from any time period, what would it be?
If I was buying a car that was new today, I've ALWAYS wanted a Porsche 911.
If I could have any car from ANY time, I'd want a 1968 AC Shelby Cobra. That is my dream car. 0-60 in 3.8 seconds. 0-100-0 in 13.0 seconds. In-line 8 cylinder engine. OMG, I get giddy just thinking about them. I can't find a pic small enough to put here, but here's a link:

Is that a Bel Air? Those are pretty sweet. You could get your whole pirate crew in there and go on a raid!

It is...a '57. I'd take a '55 too, and I'd
love to have a Nomad:

A Jaguar V12 from back in the late '80s. Then again, the Lotus I passed every day on my way to the National Archives in London (technically in Kew, Richmond) last summer was definitely a sight to behold.

Aston Martin DBS, 5, 9, or whatever Bond is driving...
... except that Quatrel in For Your Eyes Only... and I was never keen on the Lotus cars.
The remote control Bmw was cool.

This was the 1956 Packard Predictor. They were predictin' that this nasty fucker would close up the shop. They were right!

God. Hideous car, awful name...double whammy.
That woody wagon peeking out from behind it is flippin'
sweet, though.

M5-with a manual tranny, but I'm not sure BMW puts one in their newest model/s.
I test drove one about 5 years ago with a 6 speed and about 400 HP. I think 0-60 was about 4 seconds or perhaps a shade under. I thought if I ever owned one of these, I'd be in jail within 24 hour, or maybe 24 minutes. What an absolute screamer.

If I ever win the super duper lottery, I'm getting them to make me an M5 wagon with no M badging on it whatsoever. I want it to look like a nice, but relatively pedestrian kiddie mover, then I want to flat out embarrass people in pretty much everything on the road that doesn't cost six figures. I might even keep a car seat or two in it, whether or not I have children, for added effect.

Hell, if you had that, you'd embarrass a lot of people on the road with cars that cost well into the 6 figure range. The M5 is still under 6 figures, but I still ain't spendin' that kind of coin for a car, unless, of course, we had the same lottery ticket.

Have you guys seen the Monster Miata? Basically, they talk a V-8 from a Mustang, turn it sideways, and cram it into a Miata. Apparently it fits perfectly. Now THAT is a scary car. Your comment about the BMW just reminded me of that. Nobody thinks of a Miata as a muscle car... until they see this beast blowing down the road.

Now you know that's not true. We've talked about, and delivered how many Woody's in the last couple of years?
