What a huge game. #1 vs. #4 in basically a home game for Kansas State. I love this quote from KS' Jacob Pullen.
After the Duke coach found out that Pullen also hailed from Chicago -- Coach K is nothing if not proud of his hometown -- Pullen struck up an unlikely relationship with Krzyzewski.
"After that, he was always keeping an eye on me," Pullen said. "Even though he was busy coaching the NBA players, he was always talking to me, Kyle, and Nolan. I kind of felt like a Dukie at one point.
"I just hope he doesn't have Nolan guard me," Pullen said, laughing. "I'm tired of guarding Nolan, and I'm sure he's tired of guarding me."
The article is a really good preview.

Dear Kyrie,
Please stay for 4 years. I'd love to see your jersey hanging in the rafters, next to 4 more Nat'l Championship banners.
Thanks,
ArkieDukie

Just watched the replay of the "foul" called on Kyrie at the end of the first half. Looked to me like McGruder gave him a push with his forearm.

Good article:

Was a bit miffed by this though:
"This was a chance for the Blue Devils — the new and, yes, improved 2011-12 edition of the Dukies — to make it clear that it's them and then there's everyone else."
2011-12 edition? Did I miss a year?

Yeah, but Kyrie was late to the spot. Goober had a shorter line to the basket when contact occurred. Kyrie didn't need to even be close at that point. His mission was really only to be an obstacle that ate up what was left of the clock. Mission accomplished...only taken a tad too far.
