How the #$%& is Reddick allowed to play for them on Saturday? He shoved an NCSU player AND took a %$#@ing swing at him with a left hook. That's fighting and should be an automatic 1 game suspension as he was ejected from the game. NOT subject to appeal. And folks wonder why I get so upset at the refs. That decision is simply gutless and corrupt.

It's hard to understand the decision after looking at the video several times. How can one overlook the knee to the head/helmet/throat? The comments made by the two coaches in today's N&O certainly illustrate class (NC State) and no class (UNC). http://www.newsobserver.com/2010/11/23/ ... ayers.html

But I'm positive that John Swofford is unbiased.

After all, whadday think unc stands for?

university of
no
class

I like O'Brien's comment that I glanced at briefly this AM. Something to the effect that our players have been punched this year and last year and he was proud they did not retaliate.

Woooohoooo! Good news on the injury report!

Duke injury report vs UNC

TE Brett Huffman (lower body) – PROBABLE

OG Brandon Harper (lower body) – QUESTIONABLE

TE Brandon King (hand) – QUESTIONABLE

LB Kelby Brown (lower body) – OUT FOR SEASON (Surgery pending)

S Quan Stevenson (lower body) – OUT FOR SEASON (Surgery)

To see Huffman as probable is really good news, especially since this is his last game in a Duke jersey. I would love to see Brandon King be able to be in the game as well. On the whole, that's a great looking report for the end of the year, even though Brown will be sorely missed.

It was clearly not a left hook....it was a left cross.

Ah, that's why the worthless POS in the acc orifice (sic) did not suspend him then.

When they do it, it shows spirit and indomitable courage in the face of overwhelming odds.

When anyone else does, they are thugs.

I might add to the prayer that yesterday's officials learn how to correctly call pass interference and defensive holding...and understand the difference between the two.(captmojo)

I was wondering if anyone else noticed that. The question raised from the sidelines was, "Are you gonna let butch call/officiate this game?" A certain someone said he has never seen that particular coach so mad.

Aside from that, I have to give butch a little credit for being so quick to yank his defensive player #47, (I don't know his name, so I'll just refer to him as 'Asshole') so quickly off the field, after Asshole threw a punch down at the 10 yard line.
Did anyone else pick up on this? The zebras didn't, but I recall the crowd around me doing the 'Oooohhhh' thing.

It was a standing swing. The tarholes behind us (who were obviously there with designs of trying to provoke because it happened along with other directed remarks throughout the second half, second...because they weren't there in the first) began to try a stupid rationalization that, "Hey! Pipe down. It's a contact sport."
This is a true recount of events.
