It's been a great birthday - fairly low key, which was fine because it's been a crazy couple of weeks at work, etc. Mr. DA surprised me with a fabulous pair of little diamond earrings, which are perfect because I'll actually wear them (as opposed to them being for "special occasions" only.) I mentioned over a year ago that I wanted some, some day, and he remembered!!! He also baked my birthday cake (family tradition) and took me out to a nice seafood dinner on the waterfront. I my husband.

My parents then arrived in town to spend the Thanksgiving week here. We'll be heading down to Portland next Saturday, to see Duke take on Oregon!
