No matter what happens between now and the end of my work day, I've got an awesome night ahead of me, a wonderful woman that loves me, a great family, the best pets in the world and a pretty fantastic life. Word is around town that my favorite pub, Sir Ed's, that closed this summer could reopen as soon as tomorrow! If that's the case, I'll take a well-deserved personal day and take a nap in front of the door so I can have the first pint of Guinness.
Miles, Happy Birthday! I hope you have a great year and everything at work heads in the proper direction (and everything else stays as wonderful as you have described it!)Miles wrote:Thanks All!

Jonathon beat you to it; he was the first to be late! Any coincidence that you two share the same birthday?shereec wrote:In keeping with our family tradition, I'm late.

Raleigh is still dragging their feet on liquor licenses and permits, so the pub remains closed. I went by on my birthday and saw all of the owners (and former employees) and got a tour of the place. Nice new flooring, painted plaster, and most of the old decor and furniture were still there as they were able to buy most of it back at auction! That's awesome because some of the furniture was a big part of Sir Ed's appeal and folklore and it just wouldn't have been the same without it. There's a good chance they'll be open before Thanksgiving.OZZIE4DUKE wrote:So, what happened, on all counts? Inquiring minds want to know!Miles wrote:Thanks All!
