Shoot, my 2 daughters are "royalty" enough without having to cough up the $ for a regal, international wedding.

But you could sell exclusive TV rights and photo coverage...probably cover most of the cost.

Are we having THAT reception at a Brunchgate? Procession down Blue Devil Alley? Bet that would sell out Wally Wade! And bring the Rolling Stones back for an encore performance!

A friend of mine will be involved in some of the planning.
She works at the Palace of Westminster (House of Commons) and is currently liaising with Buckingham Palace staff in the planning of the next Commonwealth Conference. She is at Buckingham Palace so often that it has become mundane to her. She is involved in pretty much any planning that takes place between the staffs of the Palace of Westminster and Buckingham Palace so I expect she will be involved, albeit in a small way, in some of the planning that will go into this wedding at least with regards to the attendance of various politicians and high-ranking staff members.
It is through her that I can get into the Lords' (the House of Lords in the Palace of Westminster) private dining hall and/or pub when I am there. If you look at a photo of the House of Commons you will notice a covered area (a canopy is over it) along the Thames. That is their patio and I can drink there with her whenever I am over there.
She and her husband (she married an English guy she met over there) are planning to come back to Canada at the end of next year but I keep telling her she is absolutely fucking nuts to do so. The cost of living might be higher in Britain and she might earn a higher salary here but she will never find a job over here that gives her that kind of access or prestige. I'd swap places with her in a heartbeat if they'd have me.

I have an appointment with my milliner next week to choose my hats for the festivities. I'm thinking that something with pheasant feathers would be stunning.

One lunch with Fergy and you're going to the wedding?

The Duchess and the Diva. We're tight.
Plus, I'm probably a distant cousin to Kate.

You could borrow some of CB&B's faux boa feathers from last weeks Brunchgate. Assuming he can remove them from the place/s he never had feathers before.

I'm going to wait until Kate lets me know what her colors are. I do love hats...I might go retro with feathers and a veil.
Something like this...in different colors of course!
- I'll pick the colors as soon as Kate's color scheme is set

I doubt the Middletons are either. I'm pretty sure the royal family and taxpayers will be footing this bill.

Sorry to burst your balloon, but Miss Middleton will not be Princess Kate. In terms of a "Princess" title at best she'd be Princess William of Wales.
It is more likely the Queen will give Wills a duchy or some other title, and Catherine would gain the female title when she marries Wills including an HRH.
I belong to a royal fans forum and have been reading the thread about all this today. I'm so happy for them I could
.

Actually, it all depends on what title he is given - hers comes from that. It is possible for him to be Prince Whatever thus making her Princess Whatever.

Don't be plucking my feathers!
