My company had a reorganization yesterday - instead of my wonderful boss I'm now working for the village idiot. About a week ago at my former boss' urging (she knew what was comin') I applied for another position - it woul be a substantial step up. The interviews (six of them - yes SIX) are today.
Last night at about 9 there was a mighty boom - followed by a phone call from my neighbor that one of the trees in my backyard was on fire - followed by the lights going out. A branch from a tree in the yard behind me hit the powerlines, ignited and the transformer blew. Firetrucks showed up - made sure there was no risk of further fire (thank you 3 days of rain) followed by the power company. Cutting to the chase, at 2 am the tree guys were still chainsawing away (loudly) the lights came on about 3. It is now 6 and I've got 6 interviews on three hours of sleep.
Needin' vibes that I get the gig AND that I don't fall asleep in one of the interviews!!

All that is gold does not glitter, not all those who wander are lost; the old that is strong does not wither, deep roots are not reached by the frost.

Try the honesty approach. Let the interviewer in on the trouble at home and let them see how well you perform under this kind of pressure.
Best of luck!

Even better, don't tell the interviewers about your problems last night, WOW! 'em like I know you will, and have co-workers tell the interviewers about the trials and tribulations you endured, without even batting an eyelash about the ordeal! They'll be impressed over how cool you were under extreme pressure, and didn't let personal problems interfere with work.
Major vibes to you, Windsor, and good luck!

I concur with Ozzie on this one, it will definitely convey to them in the face of challenges, you persevere and remain focused on the job at hand which means you are not an employee they will have issues with, but will receive huge value from! Vibes and prayers for your success today from VA! You WILL KNOCK THEIR SOCKS OFF!
