81-60 final score. We looked sloppy, lotta turnovers...but hat's off to CP..they played great. And big kudos to Ryan Kelly. He fouled out with only 2 points, but he turned the game around with his second half defense.

Box score:
http://www.goduke.com/ViewArticle.dbml? ... =205025167
The starting five all scored in double figures. Mason Plumlee recorded a double double with 11 points and 12 rebounds. kyle Singler and Miles Plumlee the leading scorers with 14 a piece. Kyrie Irving with 5 assists and 2 turnovers.
In the post game interview, Coach K stated the bench did not play good and made comments about playing time having to be earned. I believe Singler, Smith, Miles Plumlee, Mason Plumlee and Irving clearly established themselves as the best five tonight. It's early and I'm sure Curry and Dawkins will have many hot nights but they combined to shoot 1-8 on 3-pointers tonight. Those two are suppose to be our zone busters. Overall, we won by 21 and learned a lot about the team. It's time to move forward toward the real games.

I agree with that. I think this team will need some time to adjust to Kyrie's skills. He made some great passes that neither Plumlee was looking nor ready for, and that was frustrating. But when they progress through the games and practices, I foresee some great plays coming as we hit the ACC season. I'm ok with being frustrated now, this is still a young team that lost 3 important seniors. They will find their own way..our mistake as fans (and outside observers) will be taking that for granted and expecting great things early. It's way too early right now to do anything other than take each game in stride and learn from mistakes made.
