I wouldn't bet money against Duke. In fact, I wouldn't bet anything against Duke in this race.

That's what's being said - if you have espninsider access (I don't), apparently there is a blurb that goes something like:
Recruiting Insider to feature PG's Kabongo and Cook

Thursday's Recruiting Insider will feature ESPN's Recruiting Director Paul Biancardi and host Lowell Galindo talking point guards.
The recruitment of highly rated guards Myck Kabongo and Quinn Cook will be discussed. Also, the status of power forward Cody Zeller's recruitment will also be featured.
The show airs live at 5 p.m. ET on ESPNU.
But my understanding is the recruiting insider show is normally at 4:30 not 5:00 :-?

Dave Telep says Myck Kabongo is re-committing to Texas, and Jeff Goodman of Fox Sports replied by Twitter (this was linked on ESPN.com) "May never have happened if Duke didn't opt to take Quinn Cook."

That's on their Rumor Central Insider. I knew I kept Insider for a reason other than I was too lazy to opt out the last time my contract came up.

Quinn's announcement makes me very happy. Alongside Tyler Thornton, our point guard position is in solid shape for the foreseeable future. Plus we are looking at Rodney Purvis in the Class of 2012. I'm not sure if Cook's decision will change our interest level on Purvis. Securing a wing (Alex Murphy) and a C/PF (Tony Parker) seems to be our real needs. With graduation and the expected early departures to the NBA, available scholarships will not be an issue. We will have lots.

I'm biting my nails over who those "expected departures" may be. I know it's the way college ball is now, I just fear us becoming a young, inexperienced team again. If guys like Cook stay for four years, those fears are alleviated..but still. His fourth year (if he makes it) is 5 years away.
