Duke won because they won the season, ACC conference, 1st and 2nd round, Regional, Semi and the Final National Championship game. Two great teams, that were in the top 10 all season. Two great coaches, two great teams. 1 Great national championship game, this is the best ever.

Duke and Butler battled the entire game. I was at the Final 4. Butler battled with mich State on sat evening. We were all pulling for Butler, as we wanted the champ game to be Duke and Butler. Two similar private universities, were academics are first. Had Butler won, I would have been happy for them. Great kids, coach and the students and fans we met. Indianapolis is a great city to have the Final 4. Easy to get around, and walk everywhere downtown.

But I went to Indy to see Duke win the National Championship. And they did.

We also won the Regional semi final. Of course that was over a Hummel-less Purdue so it doesn't really count.

Well, we only advanced past the second round because Louisville lost to Cal. If Louisville had done their part we would never have won. And if Purdue had Hummel, well then they would have killed us. And Baylor was robbed - can you believe that call? Game changer. WVU should have gotten a few extra days of rest - they still hadn't come down from the high of beating UK the week before, so that doesn't count. And to have to play Butler in the final? What a joke. A team that had been in the top ten all year long and won 25 straight games should have been the opponent, not little old Butler.

Good point. Our lead was only like 14 points with 10 or so minutes to play. That would have been wiped out in no time.
