Don't you just love it.
I started at 173 "points", and this knocked me down to 171. Wonder how far down the inevitable infraction points will send me. Or will I get a boost in points from those who agree with me?

Allen wants all negative comments so he can lose all his sporks. He even asked the mods to simply get rid of all his "rep points." I obliged and some dipshit gave me a negative comment in return, costing me 15 "valuable" points. What a pile!

What happened? All I saw was a link to an article about 30 teams flying under the radar. Ozzie supported his home team.
What was the problem?

Did you get negative feedback or complain bitterly about something? Did another comment get deleted? Hard to imagine you got deductions for that post.

The comment that came with the -2 reputation points was
Thread: Doug Gottlieb Looks at...
Some of us are also fans of college basketball. Needless posting.
My (offending) post was
Well, to whichever gutless wonder (infraction point, here I come. Ask me if I care.) gave me this negative review, you're wrong on so many levels.
Jason deleted my "offensive" post quoted above and wrote me a very nice PM to go along with the 3 "Cat.3" infraction points he gave me, primarily because I knew my post would draw a point and in fact "asked for it". I like Jason, and he likes me, so I have no personal objection or beef with him. He's just doing his job. I just don't like their whole fucking points system.

Then perhaps you shouldn't complain when you get exactly what you asked for.

Now I understand. I figgered it went deeper/involved more than your original post. "Nice" that your -2 was anonymous. If I may quote from the Duke Argument thread: "What a dipshit." The "needless posting" comment should have signed his/her name and actually posted in response to your comment. Gutless is right. I'm waiting for you to post one of these OY:

Okay, I'll skate out onto thin ice and risk being sent for a swim. Infractions issued by DBR Moderators
do not affect a users "reputation" points. Therefore, receiving an infraction will not affect your reputation and corresponding number of Tridents. The "reputation" or points system is intended as a vehicle for board members to self-moderate. Now, when you all start responding to this post please be nice to me.
Thanks!

I'm join Bob for a skate and remind folks we agreed to stop dwelling on OY. Complaints (about anything) are fine, but it might be a better idea to post them in the LTE instead of it's own thread.

I don't know why you guys go over there. Either you like it and you go over there, or you don't like it and you stay away.

Bob, I love you and would never say anything negative to you at all. And like I said, Jason said all the love words to me while whipping me with his wet noodle. ("Friends, Romans, Countrymen, lend me your ears" are all love words to the citizens of Rome that Julius Caesar used to get into their hearts and souls when he made his speech to them when they thought he was the bad guy, when he wasn't) I just don't like the rep points and pitchforks. At all. Nor do I like the anonymous "comments" made by folks making comments. And, some of the moderation, not yours or Della's or usually Jason's, is a "bit" heavy handed. I'll stop now.

Now that I no longer where the green jacket, I can stay in my barcolounger. I am, however, ready in my designated role as CTN undertaker to bury ANY thread that needs to be buried.
;)
Drive-by countdown begins right now...

To ensure that we'll have a drive-by, we COULD set up a TIGER WOODS RYDER CUP DISCUSSION THREAD.
Just sayin'.
