When I first saw this, I thought, "Wait. Hasn't someone else built this before? A man peddles and turns the propellers and such?" But if I understand correctly, this has no propeller, only "flapping" wings?

You don't have to be kidding. I meant it in a sarcastic fashion. It is a fantastic way to travel 475 feet...provided you have a platoon of wing catchers and a tow truck to get you airborne.
