You know, that other board over here...it generally stays pretty quiet. I was just wondering, are people not interested in it at all? Waiting for basketball season? Still getting that stuff from DBArrr ? I, for one, love all Duke sports, so I follow them and enjoy passing word about them along to other Dukies (I just posted in The Stadium about the men's lax Final Four berth and the baseball team's berth in the ACC Tournament). I think it'd be nice if we beefed up our participation over there a bit, as I think we have a pretty knowledgeable, albeit sort of small, group of sports fans here. I don't mean to bash too much, but I really am just pretty sick of the state of affairs at DBArrr (see CB&B's "I had to post about it" thread), so I wouldn't mind helping to build a more substantive conversation about Duke sports over here. On the other hand, I completely understand if people are still happy to get info over there and/or prefer the vastly greater volume of voices over there.
Just wondering what y'all's thoughts might be.

Re: "The Stadium"
My thoughts are....
That I really enjoy dbr for why I originally started posting there, which was conversation about Duke sports. I got sucked into the OTB by you wackos, whom I grew to identify with way more than the EK posters. When posting on the OTB got to be less than an enjoyable experience due to excess moderation I ( and most of us) thought setting up our own site would be a great place to migrate to. I also knew that the founding reasons behind that migration would mean CT would mostly be off topic. The one binding theme on all of our posts of idiocy is that we are Duke fans. I was even hesitant about creating the stadium, I don't want to copy dbr. The way I explained it to Della (duke84, the one mod I've met) was that CT is a site for posting thoughts by fans of Duke basketball, while DBR is a site about Duke Basketball that tolerates posting of other thoughts.
If in the long run the stadium gets used more, that's great, and I expect in the long run it will. (Remember CT is barely over a month old). If it doesn't happen, that's ok too, but it will be there either way.

Re: "The Stadium"
I like the idea of The Stadium. It was easy to get lost in the muck of the EKB, so I'm excited to have good Duke sports discussion in a "smaller" setting, so to speak. As we approach football and bball seasons, I think it'll pick up.
vs. Ken vs. Ryu. Classic.
