Worst song of all time

I know... 10 infraction points for introducing a negative thread, but a friend of mine posted on FB what he thought was THE WORST recorded song of all time. Frankly, I'm not sure I disagree with his choice. I'll hold off on saying which song he selected... for now. In the meantime, what are the worst songs you have ever heard? Maybe you'll convince me that my friend has not found the worst song EVER.

Easy answer. Judy Collins singing "Send in the Clowns".

If WILSON
was here, I think he would choose Fleetwood Mac's The Chain.
Just a guess. ;)

I don't think I could name just one. I probably have a dozen or more tied for that dishonor.

I don't know about the worst song of all time. However, the perfect country and western song has been written: You Never Even Called Me by My Name by David Allan Coe.

Now THAT'S a favorite! The last time I heard that on the radio was coming back from lunch on the day of the 2001 Championship game, riding with one of our secretaries. It was a nice day, and we turned the radio way up, opened the windows and sunroof, and sang at the top of our lungs.
Somehow the song came up in Sunday School, of all places, about 2 months ago. I don't remember the context.

It definitely calls for singing along. Another one he sang that I need to find - Divers Do It Deeper. It could be subtitled - and other sexual innuendos.

I thought the perfect C&W song was called She Got the Gold Mine, I Got the Shaft.

I agree that Judy Collins version of the song is not very strong, but personally I like the song when song with a bit more emotion.

My friend voted for INSANE CLOWN POSSE'S "Miracles."
I admit... the SNL parody is HILARIOUS. I think ICP is worse than "ICE, ICE, BABY," but I believe I can name two worse songs.

Oh please, none of you have even come close to identifying the worst song of all time. I nominate these two gems (both by the same 'artist' but the first is particularly bad - I dare you to watch the whole video):

As bad as that Hooked on a Feeling rendition is, the video is a gazillion times worse.

You had me at David Hasselhof. Once I saw that I didn't even need to watch the videos.

Coe poplularized it by adding a final verse and telling a great story. But it was written by the (late) and greatly underappreciated Steve Goodman.

And Steve gets the credit in the song. It is the final verse that makes it the perfect country and western song.
