CrazieTalk T-Shirts. Is it Time?

Post by EarlJam » September 7th, 2010, 10:06 pm

Okay, I'm motivated by the banners, the signs. I think it would be cool to have good-looking Crazietalk T-shirts. I'm not talking cheap looking, cheap quality stuff, but really cool, nicely designed shirts.

We could have them printed and distributed before basketball season and in time to wear to a few brunchgates.

I would happily lead this effort. For some, maybe have personalized shirts like jerseys? Example: Ozzie would have a Crazietalk T-Shirt with "Ozzie" on the back and the number 9F (kind of like what he has now but different). Colchar could have "Colchar" on the back with the number "2," since he lives in the second best country in the North America.

Thoughts? Vote and discuss!

There are two logo producing shops near me and they can supply the shirts. One does embroidered logos and the other does pressed vinyl - like my modified 9 (F) jersey - they added the "F's" and the GTHC on the back. Obviously there would be a price difference between them. Do we have an artistic logo? Would someone here design it? Then I can see what it would cost to have them produced, including the cost of the shirts.

I don't look good in T-shirts, so I vote no.

How about a collared golf-type polo shirt? That's what I was thinking of for the embroidered logo and name.

I don't look good in those shirts, either.

The ladies need what's known as "princess seam" shirts.

I'm sure the shirt supplier can do those, although I have no idea what they are without seeing one.

I'm good with a T-shirt or a polo. Most ladies' tops don't have enough room for my shoulders, or at least that's my excuse.

I say let's keep it at T-shirt. It's cheaper, more sportslike, and cooler for games at Cameron.

Ladies, I bet you look better in a T-shirt than what you think! C'mon!

I partly ask because I have two contacts down here that would give me a good price. I'd love to take ownership of this if you all are cool about it. I'll even eat much of the cost.

I am more than cool with that! But I'd rather have a golf shirt than a t-shirt. I just don't wear t-shirts very often, and we aren't allowed to wear them on our golf course - rules against them except at the pool, which closed last night for the season.

True, but I'm partly thinking of publicity, visibility and stuff over style. A golf shirt is far less "fun" and stuff for events. T-shirts baby! But good, quality ones!

I have some rather nice Duke polos so I'd be fine with a T-shirt or a polo.

Yes "if" they only refer to CrazieTalk (not Brunchgate) and could there be a long sleeved model -T?

Indeed, love it. Tell you what. I want to proceed with this. If others want to proceed with a golf or polo shirt, that would be cool too!

I'd like to have "jersey-like" shirts (discussed this with Fordgirl) that could have our post-names on back with the number of our choice. That way, in addition to being kind of cool (I think), we could identify each other all the more easily at events. Not that we REALLY need that, just think it would be neat.

So, with that said, I'm moving forward on it. Don't think about cost. I will send a seperate post asking for shirt size, long or short sleeve and favorite number. Please reply!

I just saw this - hilarious. Then again, perhaps I should get #1 as I am also British and your baby of a country was spawned by Britain!

They would be fine but wouldn't look good if they had numbers and post names across the back.

We could base the numbers on the order in which we joined CTN or on our current post counts ;)

I'm cool with t-shirt or polo, but ask if you'll at least check out a women's cut t-shirt.

Isn't that basically just a lady's cut t-shirt, a little more room in the front, a dipping neck line, and comes in a little at the waist? Pretty much everybody sells those now.
