Never too early to talk about the social stuff. I'm inclined to wait until Sunday to actually start the menu thread, and I know that TNT has some ideas that will rank in some importance in that thread as well that we would like to keep at the top of the page when it starts.
GO DUKE!!!

I'm going to be there, assuming work doesn't bite me in the behind. Remember how I planned to put a week of vacation on before the game? Well, I had to delay my departure for a huge grant that we're working on. My plans are in flux. If I can ever get a firm handle on plans from my boss I'll probably buy a plane ticket instead of driving as was my original intent. At this point I'm not prepared to make any guarantees.

Hmmm. If your boss doesn't clear your schedule for Brunchgate soon, we have connections with the Atlanta CTN Mafia that we won't hesitate to use. We will be majorly bummed if you can't make it. BTW, Darrell Spells says hello and is looking forward to seeing you.

Sending vibes
that all grant work goes smoothly and rapidly leaving you with nothing to do after next Wednesday.
I'm looking forward to meeting more people at Brunchgate.

I Shalnt (that's "Shall not" to those who think Carolina Blue is an actual color) be at the 'Bama/Duke slugfest.
For one reason, I gotta work some. But more importantly, and it may be a little superstitious, judging by the Elon game, everytime I stepped away from the stands the Devils scored big! Everytime I came back, Duke could not get over the one yard line to score or worse, Elon got on the board. lol, it was really kinda freaky!
So I shall be vibing for the team from the distance, watching the game prolly over at Tilly's (priming the projector to have the game showing on the wall 5 feet across and up and down).

That was kinda funny!
Plus, both attempts you made to get a funnel cake were unsuccessful but yet when Tilly went she had no problems! It was great to meet you two finally!!

Just a heads up - our next door neighbor between us and Coach Cut's Cookers (the GTHC GTH tent!) will be cooking a pig and have ~50 people attending their tailgate. Quite a jump for the 4 to 6 they had last Saturday. It also means there will be ...
Pig to the right.
Pig to the left.
Pigs everywhere you look!
And, TNT will like this, they will be there between 7 and 8 a.m.!

This pretty much describes my drive up last weekend. The fuzz was everywhere.

It also means we'll need to consolodate our cooking area..we did some major encroaching last game, but they weren't there to care.

Do we need to arrange something with them? All of CTN bring sides to have with their pig? Or just stay outta their way and have our own gathering?

Don't forget there will also be pastrami and corned beef to sample!

I am well aware of that menu item.
In fact, I might offer to provide security services to Cheermom and Cheerdad for their arrival on campus and to the Brunchgate...

And just who is going to provide security to the pastrami and corned beef from you?

There is now half a cow in my fridge.
See the menu thread for explanation. 40 lbs o'beef...this should be good. Gonna have an early sampling of the Dead Ant today, it should be fully ready by Wednesday and even better on game day. I'm assuming we'll be in the lot at 7am.

I'll be there around 10-ish. Did you squeeze that side of beef into your fridge??
