There are so many great books and series that were never made into movies or done REALLY poorly. Which ones would you like to see made/remade?

I vote for the Circle series by Ted Dekker. What an amazing story.

A question while I ponder this, when considering a book to be made into a movie, are we supposed to imagine that the movie will do justice to the book? Cuz if I really like I book, like really like it and know the plot well, I can't see it in theaters. But if I just remember the warm fuzzies about it like Bridge to Terebithia (sp) or The Chronicles of Narnia, then maybe.

I agree with bluebutton in that good books tend to be lousy movies. Thus, I can't think of a book I'd like to see made into a movie.

My autobiography would be good as movie. If by movie you mean sleeping aid for insomniacs late at night. The story is still being written though. I didn't ever see it, but there was an autobiography about on of the American Idol winners. Hmmm...a bit premature maybe?

How can you have an autobiography of more than one person?

I just logged onto iTunes and discovered, to my amazement, that FREAKONOMICS, is coming out in movie form. HUH?!?!

Personally, I'd love to see MAN THE HUNTED come out in movie form.

Whaaaa? Really? Our judge occasionally talks about FREAKONOMICS to defendants about to be sentenced for drug distribution and how a job at McDonald's would compare.

I agree that that one would be awesome, and I want to see the series too. However, I just want the next friggin' book in the series to come out already.
