Okey-dokey, we're gonna' try a "New and Improved" method for posting the menu and who all is coming. Going forward every Brunch/Tailgate will sport a "Sticky", "Locked" thread that will be the source for exactly what, and whom, is going to be at the upcoming event. AND NOT MUCH ELSE!

The intent is to allow folks to easily discover what we're offering and whom is attending.

I'm changing the format a bit by adding to the "old view" a "Menu only" section so that folks trying to decide what to bring can see what's already promised. So, let's get started, shall we?

I. Who's coming and what the #$%^ are they bringin'?
I’ve thought long and hard about what should be my contribution. Given that our first opponent, the recently minted Elon University is such a close neighbor and, the Alma Mater of our beloved Earl Jam and DukePA, I elected to prepare a dish that honors the proud tradition of Burlington’s finest University- The Elon University Phoenix! Therefore, my menu will be derived from just that- a bird that rises to greatness from ashes!

Honey-whole wheat rolls

Of course, beverages de adult, tea (AM, I’m lookin’ at you.) and all my tailgate acouterment. Ready. To. Rock!

II. For those wanting to attend but, unsure what to bring, here's a menu breakdown by category (?=not definite):

• Meats: 15 lb. Smoked Turkey, 15 lb. "Val's" Brisket, Cilantro-Lime Shrimp, Wings, Hot dogs, brats, sweet & sour meatballs, smoked chicken salad

• Sides: Potato salad, Potato casserole (Tilly?), Grilled Corn

• Salads: XL Broccoli salad, Chopped salad, BBQ Slaw, Fruit salad (?), Pasta salad (?), Tomato-Basil salad (?)

• Appetizers/munchies: Caramelized onion, bacon and scallion dip & chips, Fire-roasted salsa, Veggie platter (?), chips & salsa, spinach dip w/crackers

• Breads: Honey Whole-wheat rolls, White bread, Rye bread

• Sweets/Desserts:Blueberry Pie, Super-Nutty Peanut Butter cookies, Chocolate chip cookies, Brownies, Rum cake, Lemon Pound Cakes, "something"(?), Carrot Cake, Oatmeal Raisin cookies
