It's not CathyCA's office..but I bet she knows some of the ones who are in there. Vibes to them.

Sounds to me like she was looking for a lawyer she had a beef with, not an armed robbery. That's even scarier.
Police say a very tall black woman, who is between 6'2" and 6'4" tall and armed with a knife, came into the offices. The only person inside the offices at the time was a lawyer who was not hurt. Police say it appears nothing was taken in the armed robbery.

That is scarier. They've updated it since they first posted the story. I like how they say "very tall" as opposed to only "tall".

I agree with Ozzie. It sounds like there was a specific target to this knife-wielder.
Scary stuff.

It's old Mr. Wooten's law office. The poor guy doesn't even have a computer. He still uses a typewriter.
If this robber was looking to get rich, she (or he) picked the wrong place. Also, how STUPID is it to attempt to rob a law office DIRECTLY across the street from the Sheriff's office? Apparently, no one was hurt, and the robber didn't take anything (because there was NOTHING to take).
Although it turned out well for Mr. Wooten, this is just one more thing for me to add to my list of worries about my personal safety.

It immediately brought to mind the story of
Mike Hostilo (wow, what a poorly written article; gives you the gist of the story, anyway), who was a high school classmate of my husband's. (side note: I met him at another classmate's wedding last year; he's quite a character.)

OMG--it took me FOREVER to get through that document.
But thanks for the scary law office hostage story. I'll just add that to the list of personal safety worries I'm carrying around now.

The very tall lady tied up Mr. Wooten.
William Wooten tells WITN News that he was in the office this morning when a tall black woman armed with a knife came inside. The 76-year-old lawyer says the woman tied him up with his tie in a back room and took some money out of his wallet. Wooten says the woman eventually untied him, gave the money back and walked out the door.

6'2" - 6'4"??? And not much of a description. Are they certain it wasn't a guy in drag? You have to wonder.
Love, Ima

Aside from the 'Black' and 'Woman' part, how do you describe yourself?
Tall, or very tall?

I'm tall. Lavabe is borderline very tall. Alison Bales...a woman...is very tall.
A 6'2 inch woman is still only tall.

I'm 6'7", but I have a slight frame.
The assistant principal at LL's school is 7'1". He is very tall.

What I lack in height, I make up for it in width.
