McNamara's Band and Comt igh Schpielen (don't remember spelling, it's a german song I had to learn in choir in high school to sing in a professional opera. It's pretty fun, though).

I can safely say that this subject has yet to appear in Ymm, Beer.

Isn't it anatomically impossible to drink and sing at the same time? 8-} :o) :ymparty: =p~

Once a game when the Devil's play at home? You're not going to drink very much, are you?

I'll vote for 99 Bottles of Beer on the Wall!

Yeah, but then you have to pass it around. You don't get as much beer that way, and with the swine flu and all, I'd be a little worried about all that backwash. :ymsick:

When it comes to drinking songs, there is only one choice: Hank Williams.

Don't cry in your beer-it only dilutes the flavors, unless of course you are drinking (fill in the blank) lite. :)) :))

There's a misconception. Not enough alcohol content in beer. It's more like a nice bath for the germs to grow in with all those hops and stuff. If you want to really kill the germs, you gotta be drinkin' at least a nice vodka. If you wanna be really safe, you can sing MY favorite drinking song from college, "99 shots everclear on the bar". This calls to mind one of my favorite Duke stories. I took a CPR course from my fraternity president my junior year. He didn't have a bottle of rubbing alcohol lying around, so he used vodka to clean off the CPR doll between uses. Now THAT was a fun course at Duke that nobody should have missed. ;)

If you want to CRY in your beer, you can't beat Patsy Cline. "Crazy" was the all-time crying your beer song!

The Marshall Tucker Band--"Too Stubborn"
This IS the ultimate. Doug Gray's voice sends shivers, and when imbibed, it must be followed.

Hank Williams Jr. - All My Rowdy Friends (Are Coming Over Tonight) is a great pre-drinking song.

Mark Chesnut - The Lord Loves A Drinking Man

Merle Haggard - I Think I'll Just Stay Here And Drink

Johnny Cash - Sunday Morning Comin' Down, on the other hand, is the best post-drinking song ever.

First verse:

Well I woke up Sunday mornin'
with no way to hold my head that didn't hurt.
And the beer I had for breakfast wasn't bad
so I had one more for dessert.
I fumbled through the closet for my clothes
and found my cleanest dirty shirt,
and I shaved my face and combed my hair
and stumbled down the stairs to meet the day.

Trivia: "Crazy" was written by Willie Nelson, and it was originally to be titled "Stupid," with everything else about the song to be exactly the same as it is now. Willie thought better of that, however, and changed the seminal lyric to the more euphonious "Crazy."
