What's the best way to stop bleeding from the neck?

Shaving. Cut myself twice. It has stopped now but I'm a bloody mess!

I think so, which would be appropriate for EJ's cuts.

Last summer my mother had a nasty run in with a pyrex dish and lost. Her thumb was sliced pretty badly and they glued the skin together versus giving her stitches. She still has a scar, but I think the glue was much less painful than the stitches would have been.

I keep safety glue in the kitchen and in my camping first aid kit for minor cuts. Much better than a bandaid or stitches, especially when you're cooking.

I used to have these white sticks of a white powdery substance that you wet and rubbed on the spot. It would sting like the dickens for a couple seconds, but the bleeding would stop instantly. I don't remember what they were called though.

See lawgrad91's post above.
I saw that, but I wasn't sure it was the same thing. Cool, thanks.
