Good point; they are strong as shit. I still have a terrible fear of bears, though.

Wow. Good call on the chimp. I had forgotten about that horrible story. The reason I didn't pick Gorilla or Bear, is because I figured (perhaps wrongly), that the beast would more than likely render me unconscious before it started ripping off my limbs and eating my innards. I chose alligator. To me, getting mauled by an alligator would really suck. One big fast "Chomp," and then the reptile flips you over into and under the water. So you get a combination of a horrible open flesh wound, a likely broken bone or two, with the extra touch of drowning - all while being tossed around like a human rag doll. Plus, you'd get your clothes all wet.

It really would be hard for the family to explain....Plus, if one of the other animals got loose and mauled someone, there is probably an entity that could be sued or would be willing to settle out of court. I doubt the zoo with an Etruscan shrew would stop laughing long enough to negotiate a settlement to the deceased's heirs.

1. Piranha: I was watching a show on Discovery the other day, and they were talking about piranha. This guy jumped into a pool with hungry piranha, and they didn't touch him. He also jumped in with blood in the pool, and they didn't touch him. There was some combination of thrashing and blood that cause them to go nuts. They threw some ripped up dead animal in there and started thrashing it around, and that got them going.
