Hitler

Okay, being serious here. I'm reading a book about Miep Gies, the person that helped hide the Franks during WWII. I got to thinking about Hitler when it hit me that "Hitler" is a last name (I know, "no kidding.") But really, many people just refer to him as "Hitler."
Okay, so my question is, are there still people in Germany with the last name of Hitler? Say, his family and such? Or did Germany rid of the name altogether? For instance, is there a Hans Hitler or a Rudolf Hitler floating around?
The name itself has become pretty much synonomous with EVIL. I can't imagine writing a letter to "The Hitlers," or saying to someone, "I just love those Hitlers. They are just the nicest neighbors anyone could have!"
Anyone know?
