"Keep, ancient lands, your storied pomp!" cries she
With silent lips. "Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"
--Emma Lazarus (1883)

Works for me...but it will be close enough to the top for now. Gonna wait until Lavabe makes it safely home first.

Glad to see familiar 'faces' finding their way to our little corned of the cyberworld.

I hope a few more will follow and join in the insanity. :ymdevil: :ymdevil:

Hello! Here I is.
I'm quoting myself.
The above is what I had in mind. I didn't express it very well. I should have said it in the leading post.

This thread would be more for those new members to announce themselves and we could still welcome them in an individual thread of their own...our howdy elsewhere.

Some may think of it as an unnecessary doubling of greetings, but let that complaint go for the ones still over yonder only.

Heck, we could even play the game and try to guess their professions as they sign in. :D

Certainly not. None of us here would ever do that. In fact, I would wager that the majority of us, and DD in particular, would look down on that sort of behaviour.
