Okay, consider EVERYTHING (temps, weather, events, memories, Duke, holidays, etc.).
What is your favorite season of the year.
Discuss.

I like summer. I like it hot (as long as it is cool inside!), it's usually good golf weather and the pool is open! I like to wear shorts and short sleeve golf shirts rather than bundle up trying to stay warm. And it is baseball season with games almost every day for my team. The only down side is it's not Duke football or basketball season.
You two crazie kids must be spending the week together. Good for you! Are you in Atlanta or Greensboro, or somewhere else exotic?

I'll second Cathy's answer; my shin-kicking sister said what I was going to say.

Fall.
It has football and basketball, it has brunchgates. The heat is finally going away, it has two cool holidays in Halloween and Thanksgiving. The leaves turn, there is crispness in the air.
I like Spring alot too, but the heat is coming, basketball is ending, and football is a long ways away.

I chose winter because of snow, Duke Basketball and such. Winters in the south are not brutal, so with the snow you get some nice days mixed in. But fall is a very, VERY close second for the reasons CB&B mentioned. I almost voted fall.

I chose fall for football season. The weather is more to my liking, the air is crisp, the leaves are changing.
I like basketball season, too, but winter is not my favorite. Too many ice storms in this part of the world.

Salt! I know it's bad and I don't use it often, but it is my favorite season.

Spring. Cold enough at higher elevations to go skiing. Warming up at the lower elevations enough to run/walk in shorts and a t-shirt. Flowers, plants and trees blooming. Birds chirping. carowhina choking. Duke winning a championship. Duke winning another championship. Duke hanging a banner. Duke hanging another banner. carowhina going to hell. again.

And how could I forget. I'll be 21 (plus a year or two) on Homecoming Day.

Gotta go winter. Snow, decorations, Christmas, New Year, our anniversary, Valentine's Day, Presidents' Day, MLKJr Day, Duke basketball, bowl games, NFL season's getting to the best part, NHL is heating up, etc...

In years past I enjoyed Spring. The newness, the birth and the sort (yadah yadah yadah) but now, I think I have a deeper appreciation for Fall. Football (which leads eventually into basketball), a mix of late summer temps in the day and much cooler nighttime temps, more rain and just an overall more comfy time. Plus the awesome colors from the trees and such, the darker blue skies and just an overall more giddiness in the air.
So with that, my faves are:
Fall
Winter
Summer & Spring now tied. Perhaps when I hit 70 this'll change. But really, who cares. bring on the fall!

I like all 4 seasons. Each have their own good points. I didn't vote.

Knights doesn't like the heat? Is it because of the whole LeBron James thing? By the way, I'm not a big fan either. I typically find that when people think the temps are cold, I am comfortable. When they think it is warm, I am miserably hot.
