Riddle Time!

Well, it's 7:44 on Thursday morning and you all know what THAT means.........IT'S RIDDLE TIME!
Okay, here we go. Ten free cans of vegetables (you pick the vegetables), and a Red Bull to the winner.
------------------
Here is the scene: Billy Ray is sitting in his recliner, he's looking around the room. In his right hand he holds a fifth of Jack Daniels; it is nearly empty at this point. He's watching highlights of a marathon that he DVRed earlier that day. He looks to his right. On the couch are two of his friends. They have had too much to drink and have long said goodbye to consciousness. His brother, Johnny Ray, however, is still up and at 'em. Billy Ray looks to his left. There are two beautiful girls sitting in a chair, staring at both he and Johnny Ray, wantingly. He likes this and winks flirtatiously at the girls. He then winks over to Johnny Ray. They are "hopeful."
Okay, the riddle: There may be more than one answer, but I'm looking for one in particular. How do you make the above scenario sound like a BASEBALL SITUATION?
Have at it.
