God Speed Jim

Post by DukePA » June 27th, 2010, 11:06 am

My cousin Jim died in a car accident this morning. He was only 44 years old and leaves behind 2 sons. Rex just graduated from high school and Matthew is in elementary school. Jim was my Uncle Jimmy's only son. Uncle Jimmy is VDB's brother. So sad. it was a single car accident and we are awaiting the medical examiner's report.

Big hugs to Mom and the rest of the family.

Oh man. This is really a tough one, huh. Lots falling on that teenager right now just as he was starting real life. This is sad. They are really going to need the good, close family that you are.

I'm so sorry. Lots of love coming your way VDB. Pass it around.
Love, Ima

I thank all of you for your prayers and thoughts. This is not easy. My heart is aching for my brother, sister in law and Jim's sister. I hurt more for Jim's two boys. No age is good to lose a parent. I cannot imagine what it must be like to lose a child. I do thank God for family support. They do have this and will need it more than ever. I'm sort of numb at this point. I plan on going to Richmond tomorrow afternoon. We're still not sure when the funeral will be. My brother thinks it may be Wednesday. We will probably know tomorrow.

God bless my nephew and family.
