Just got back from taking the wife out to brunch after church. They gave her a pink carnation at both church and the restaurant, so she got two this morning to add to her giant vase full of gerber daisies. She's lovin' life for the moment. Happy Mommy Day, love of my life!

Oh, and of course, happy mothers' day to my mom and my mom-in-law. Love ya!

Down this way, it was Eggs Benedict, home fries, and strawberry shortcake at Mom's, followed by a quick stop at my grandparents' and then something of a nap here at home. Now I'm desperately trying to conjure enough motivation to pound out the 600 words or so I really ought to write today. It looks like that endeavor is going to involve coffee.

Today began with Hootersville Hotchcakes.(cinnamon added) Popcorn afternoon. Mesquite grilled Fillet Mignon, baked potatoes, garden salad and that wonderful fifth Sierra Nevada Porter that makes me so desirous to all I come in contact with.
