I read this in the Murky news this morning:

So cool! The guy's iPad is stolen, so he tracks it and the burglars on his iPhone for the police who nab the perps.
I'll bet that Apple sells a gazillion more of these devices as a result of this thwarted theft.
Nerds rule!

Oh great, now the Mactards will have something else to talk about. I wonder if they'll rename it the Lenny Briscoe App?

Yup, and Steve Jobs is also collecting all that location information and giving it to third parties.

As are Google, Microsoft, and anyone else with skin in the game.

Yeah but Google would never use that information for bad purposes. "Do no evil" and all that? Right? Right? right? ..... Bueller? ;)

Hahaha yeah I've always loved that line.
I've always said that Google and Apple would be the two companies that eventually become "Skynet". Google has all the information and Apple will make it cool to share your information. Hell, people won't even know what they're giving up, they'll just be excited to whip out their new iToy and show it off.
In the end, Microsoft will be the company that saves humanity. They won't do it intentionally, somebody will just exploit a well-hidden security flaw in their operating system that will allow us to bring down the network.
Wait for it.

No need to wait for a MSFT exploit, Apple's got a partner that's doing it already.
