I'm pretty sure they will. BTW, haven't heard anymore from Chris Kautza about the drop off passes yet. I think I'll call him tomorrow morning.

I think it time for a decision to be made. I still don't understand why drop of passes is such a big deal.

Heck YEAH! I'll be there. Whoop whoop! Does anyone know where the parking lot is that the students tailgate in?? I've never seen it before.

Yes. It's at the corner of Towerview and Wannamaker Drives.

Neither have many of the students. And those that have seen it probably don't remember it...

I spoke to Chris and he said we're getting closer, but no final decisions have been made yet. I have subsequently left a voice mail for the man at the head of the "committee" in the Athletic Department, asking for an appointment next week. Would love to sit down with him and discuss the entire drop off pass issue face to face.

Thank you so much for your work on this Ozzie, there is no way anything would happen if nobody spoke up, and I doubt that anyone is speaking as loudly as you. Very much appreciated.

You all are welcome. And I've never been shy about asking for what I want - if you don't ask, you don't get! B-)

Time for a victory dance!    :ymparty: :ymparty: :ymparty:
TAILGATE TENT DROP-OFF PASS POLICY
2010

NUMBER OF PASSES
• Each tent is given 4, ten-minute drop off passes to use one time each game.

USING THE PASSES
• Passes will be for individual games, so you will use new passes for each game. Upon entering the lot, you will give your pass to the parking attendant. This will ensure all passes are used only once.
• Passes will be mailed to you prior to the season.

TIMETABLE
• Passes may be used until 2.5 hours before kickoff (ex: kickoff is 12:00 pm, drop off passes must be used by 9:30 am).

TRAFFIC CHANGES
• The only change with traffic patterns that will affect this group will be that Towerview Dr. will not be accessible from Duke University Rd. You all will have to enter Towerview from the West.

NOTES
• Unfortunately, there will not be any way to get back into the lot immediately after the game. (aka no “Pick-up Passes”)
I'm very sure my conversation with Boo Corrigan yesterday got the number raised from 2 passes per tent to 4. :-BD

OZ-ZIE! OZ-ZIE! OZ-ZIE! OZ-ZIE! OZ-ZIE! OZ-ZIE! OZ-ZIE!

Last year, I brought my stuff to the tent fairly early, before Towerview was blocked by police on Science Dr. Will I still be able to run stuff up (I park in the Chem lot) as I did before w/out using a drop-off pass?

Don't know. Guess it depends on how early early is?

FYI, RoyWhite has pissed me off on the DBR thread (EK board) I started on this topic. Thanks to AllenMurray for coming to my defense!
