I will be beaming into my local theatre for the 8:30 show! :D :D :D
No I will not be dressing up but I am excited. Sylar as Spock should be interesting.

Look for a review tomorrow

Ok, here's my non-spoiler review. GO SEE IT!

Great casting for Scotty and Bones. Good casting for Spock, Kirk, and Uhura.
Very cool plot about time travel and a decent bit of Kirk and Spock's history both prior to and while in the Academy. JJ Abrams' influence was definitely there, and it worked! Jam-packed with action and entertaining enough that I think any sci-fi/action movie fan would enjoy this movie. If you know the history of the movies, I would hope you enjoy it even more and I think it should appeal to the more serious, dedicated trekkies/trekkers. Great comedy too.

I'm thinking I'll go see this in IMAX if I get the chance.

and my non spoiler review:

Pays the appropriate homage to the canon. Lots of insider stuff for the true trekker (some subtle some overt).

It also stands on its own as a very good action adventure movie. Nice mix of humor thrown in.

Love the casting except for McCoy - he was OK - although I thought he tried to hard to act/sound like the original.
Spock was just awesome. Uhura's character is a stronger/smarter version of the original series version with a few surprises of her own.

The Enterprise herself resembled the original NCC-1701 but with more modern lines - the entire ship followed that theme - it was familiar but better (they faced some of the same issues the TV series Enterprise did - my cell phone is smaller than the communicators they used on the original series) excellent job balancing the familiar look and feel with technology that looks futuristic!

Can't wait to see it again to see what I missed the first time through! Will also try to catch the IMAX version.

I'm going to see it today. If anyone watched SNL last night, hopefully you saw the awesomely funny Weekend Update skit with Chris PIne and Zack Quinto. If not, check it out here, while it's still up on YouTube. It's hilarious.

That was hilarious, especially when Nimoy called those not liking the new film "dick heads"! Say that on the DBR and see what it gets you! Nimoy would receive multiple infraction points :P
