DC/NOVA visit

Post by devildeac » April 23rd, 2010, 11:34 pm

Sorry to have a thread for this but I can't get my damn PM outta my out box to 8-X and bjornolf. We head up to NOVA/Crystal City tomorrow. PM me with your phone #s me so we can have a sammich and/or beverage. I have a 6er for 8-X to trade. Plus, I need to visit the store where 8-X finds some of his outrageous beverage selections ;) :D .

I'll send it now. Did you get me that book about the Championship?

Also, the message got to me. It stays in your outbox until the other person reads it.

I can direct them to a Total Wine, 8-X . I'm seeing them this morning at Lorton, and there's one in Springfield.

Sunday brunch with the bjornolf family. Cute children. Great food. Trip to TW with 8-X shadowing me. I was teaching him, of course ;) :D . Three hours at Mt. Vernon and the evening with son of the devildeac. Much better weather than anticipated. Today wa lectures all day.

For what it is worth, I think the one off of Route 7 will be your easiest to get to! However, WE know how good that one is thanks to OZ, so maybe the other one is worth visiting instead so y'all can provide a comparative review! I can't wait to hear the outcome! ;)

I'll look up their addresses. I think that one is out by Tyson's Corner which will be in the opposite direction from our journey home on Wednesday. But, great pastrami is always worth the trip ;) :D =p~ .

I've only been to the Fairfax one. I love it there. It's the original, and the one where the owner works most of the time. It's not on your way home either, but it's a LOT closer to your way home than the Tysons one.

DD contacted mission control from about 200 miles out and the Chutzpah pastrami should be landing in Raleigh about 6 pm tonight! The recovery vessel should reach tranquility base about 7. Ymmm! Pastrami for dinner! :D :D :D :D :D :D

Went to the Tyson's Corner location as it appeared less out of the way than the other location. Darn good pastrami. Very comparable to the Carnegie. The corned beef was lean and moist also. I also thought it comparable to the Carnegie but Mrs. DD still likes the NYC variety better.
