The video was shot March 3 after the Maryland men's basketball team defeated Duke. In the video, students can be seen celebrating the win as officers in riot gear and on horseback are nearby. Some students are holding up their cellphones, taking pictures or video of the officers and the celebration.

Absolutely. The only possible provocation was verbal, and in no way justifies beating the crap out of the guy. Their claim that he assaulted the officers and their horses is clearly bullshit, and I hope the police department does the right thing and slams those assholes. Not even Maryland fans deserve that kind of treatment.

But seriously this was indeed incredibly uncalled for, and the lying and mass amounts of BS in the police report make it exponentially disgusting.

I hope the kid gets compensated with some good $$$ and the police officers (using the term loosely), get their just due.
