Question for the tech gurus out there...

My dad just got a new Dell laptop. He has an LG Verizon Chocolate phone and an iPod. He can download songs from Verizon for his phone, and songs from iTunes for his iPod, but he can't listen to the Verizon songs on his iPod or iTunes songs on his phone. The Verizon guy told him there was a way around that, but that he wasn't allowed to tell him for proprietary reasons. So, does anybody know this solution? It seems unfair to have to pay for a song twice. Thanks.

Tell him to move to Canada where downloading is legal and where this wouldn't be a problem in the first place ;)
